WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEET TO DISCUSS GRANT
The Washington County Commissioners are set for a public meeting this coming week.
The biggest topic on the agenda will be discussion and possible action of a Resolution that would authorize Washington County Environmental Health to submit a grant application to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments, Regional Solid Waste Management Grants Program.
The grant would be used to helped fund a local tire cleanup event for residents of Washington County. It would be a one-time event planned for this fall if the grant is awarded. The event would be held at the BVR Collection Station. The grant request would be for just over $7,000.
The commission will also discuss water supply issues in Chappell Hill and Oak Hill. The issues range from water lines repairs to new service lines.
The County Commission will meet this Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
