BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED ON ASSAULT WARRANT

A Brenham woman was arrested Wednesday on an assault warrant dating back to September.
At around 8:45 a.m., Brenham police officers were dispatched to the Washington County Courthouse for a warrant service. There, they arrested 20-year-old De Asia Nychole Adams on the outstanding warrant for Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
Police say the warrant stems from an incident that took place on September 28th in the 1500 block of South Market Street.
The warrant was issued after police say Adams struck a family member during a disturbance and left prior to law enforcement arriving.
Adams was taken to the Washington County Jail.
