WASHINGTON CO. FIREFIGHTERS EXTINGUISH BRAKE FIRE ON FEDEX TRUCK

  

Several fire departments responded after a FedEx truck caught fire this (Thursday) morning on Highway 105 just outside of Brenham.

The Brenham, Meyersville and Prairie Hill Fire Departments were called out shortly after 7:20 a.m. after the rear axle of the truck got hot and caught the brakes on fire.

The initial call came in to 1600 FM 50, but the fire was determined to be in the 3400 block of Highway 105, close to the intersection of FM 50.

The fire was put out just before 7:30 a.m.  No injuries were reported.

Also responding to the scene were members of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Precinct 1 Constable’s Office.
