Downtown Brenham is all set for one of its most popular events of the year.

Main Street Brenham’s 10th Annual "Uptown Swirl" will have wine lovers sampling different types of wines and enjoying live music tomorrow (Saturday) from 3 to 7 p.m.

Main Street Coordinator Kathrine Briscoe says 34 businesses and locations around downtown will be participating in this year’s event.



Tourism and Marketing Coordinator Nancy Joiner says there will be wines suited for anyone’s liking.



A total of 800 tickets are being sold for the event.  Tickets will be exchanged for commemorative wine glasses, wristbands and shopping bags at the Washington County Courthouse Gazebo tomorrow starting at 2 p.m.

Proceeds from the event go toward downtown improvement projects.

Tickets can no longer be purchased at participating merchants, but approximately 100 tickets are still available online at through 10 a.m. tomorrow.  A limited number of tickets will be sold at the event, and will be first-come, first-served.

Art Studio, New Dimensions Crystals and Reiki, Pioneer Smokehouse & Mercantile, Puppy Dawgs & Cat Tails, Revival Mercantile, Scrubs ‘N Stuff Boutique, Smooth Dimensions, The Book Nook, The Canyon Chick, The Gunnery, The Pomegranate, The Southern Fox, The Studio by Doug Peck, The Tilted Windmill, Timeless Designs Market, Tres Chic Boutique, Tribal Trends, Woman’s Cave and YellowTruckMarket.

KTEX-106’s Crystal Ray will be at the Uptown Swirl tomorrow afternoon in the KTEX Country Cruiser.
