DPS SEARCHING FOR SUSPECT IN NAVASOTA HIT-AND-RUN
DPS is asking for the public’s help in its investigation of a weekend hit-and-run in Navasota.
DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz said 27-year-old Irma Alaniz of Navasota was struck by a silver passenger car while walking southbound on County Road 419 shortly after 10:15 p.m. Sunday. She was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan with minor injuries.
According to Sgt. Ruiz, the car struck Alaniz with the front right side of the vehicle and fled the scene. The car lost its passenger side mirror in the crash.
DPS continues to investigate the incident, and no arrests have been made. Anyone with information can call the Bryan DPS office at 979-776-3100.
