TOURISM ADVISORY BOARD TO NAME CHAIRPERSONS AT FIRST MEETING
Brenham’s new Tourism Advisory Board will hold its first-ever meeting tomorrow (Thursday).
Business will include the election of a chairperson and vice chairperson for 2022, consideration of holding quarterly board meetings, and reviewing the interlocal tourism agreement and board by-laws and policies.
The board will also meet in work session to discuss committee appointments and hear a quarterly report from the Visit Brenham Destination Marketing Organization (DMO).
The board was formed in 2021 to replace the Hotel Occupancy Tax Board. Its responsibility is to advise and support the DMO and advocate for the continued development of tourism and cultural assets.
The board will meet tomorrow at 9 a.m. in Morriss Hall at The Barnhill Center.
