FORMER COLLEGE STATION ISD TEACHER SENTENCED FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING A STUDENT

A former College Station High School teacher is going to be spending the next 10 years of his life in prison.
A Brazos County Grand Jury found 48 year old Gregory Stanley guilty of Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.
Stanley, who is a former theatre arts teacher at College Station High School, was arrested in August 2015 after a former student reported an incident of abuse.
The victim reported to College Station Police that Stanley had texted the student at 1am to come over to his house to discuss the upcoming school year.
Stanley is then accused of giving the student alcohol and later engaging in inappropriate touching of a sexual nature.
The victim was convinced by a friend to report the incident to the police. Stanley was arrested later that afternoon.
He was placed on leave by the College Station ISD and later resigned.
During the trial, jurors heard testimony from another victim that Stanley had a similar incident when he was a theatre arts teacher at Magnolia High School in May 2015, and from a Corsicana High School student that had an incident with Stanley at a theatre camp in Georgetown in July 2015.
