A Brenham man remains in the Brazos County Jail after being arrested on an arson charge.

19 year old Glennward Jackson was taken into custody by Bryan Police on Wednesday for a warrant charging him with Arson Intend Damage Habitat.

The warrant stemmed from a July 9, 2020 incident in which Jackson is accused of setting a Bryan apartment on fire.

A witness told investigators that Jackson was seen pouring a liquid in the apartment.

Then, he allegedly said that he was starting the fire, because he was tired of people telling him to quiet down.

After Jackson left, the occupants of the apartment and their neighbors extinguished the fire. Damage was said to be minor.

Jackson remains in the Brazos County Jail with bond set at $12,000.
