An Odessa man was arrested on an intoxication charge after a one-vehicle rollover accident early this (Friday) morning on Highway 290, west of Brenham.

Brenham and Berlin firefighters were called out around 2:45 a.m. to a crash with entrapment in the 5400 block of Highway 290 West, near FM 2679 and Old Burton Road.

According to Berlin Volunteer Fire Chief Mike McAnally, a truck sustained major damage after it went off the road, rolled and crashed into a guardrail.

DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz said no one was inside the truck when Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene, but they saw two people running from the vehicle.  One of the two, 25-year-old Reynaldo Balcazar, Jr., was stopped.
