AUSTIN MAN ARRESTED WEDNESDAY IN BRENHAM

  

An Austin man was arrested Wednesday evening after a traffic stop.

Brenham Police report that Wednesday at 7:50 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 Block of Highway 290 East, due to an equipment violation.  Upon contact with the driver, Robert Kevin Randall, 31 of Austin, was found to be in possession of marijuana.  Randall threw an item out the passenger window, later found to be a handgun.  Randall had two previous convictions for a felony offense and was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Possession of Marijuana less than 2oz, and Criminal attempt of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, due to him throwing the gun out the window.  He was booked into Washington County Jail without incident.
