BRENHAM CUBS AND CUBETTES COMPETE AT THE STATE BOWLING TOURNAMENT

The Brenham bowling teams competed at the State tournament this past weekend in Grand Prairie TX.

In the team competition, both the boys and girls bowled well.  The number of great bowlers at this tournament was impressive.

Most of the girls on the team beat their average for the day. Jenna Lindemann had the high series for the Cubettes rolling a 424, while her sister Lauren had the high game for the Cubettes with a 161.

The Boys also bowled well, with Lane Sparks and Campbell Groves rolling games over 200.  However, the teams did not make it to the elimination rounds.

In singles, Campbell Groves started off hot with a 248 which put him in 5th place after the first game.  Unfortunately, Campbell needed a 235 in his 3rd game to qualify for bracket play and came up short.  Campbell finished with a 608 series averaging over 200 pins per game!

Coaches Bobbie Krueger and Michael Groves are looking forward to building on the legacy that these teams started, and are looking forward to next year.
