BRENHAM MCJROTC ADVANCES TO NATIONALS
The Brenham High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC has earned its sixth consecutive invitation to nationals.
Thirty-three MCJROTC cadets earned Overall Regional Championship honors at the Region 5 Drill Championship held on Saturday at Allen High School.
The drill team placed first in multiple categories: Inspection; Color Guard, commanded by Jessica Ross, and Armed Regulation, commanded by Austin Pfeffer.
Armed Exhibition, commanded by Travis Cienega, finished second, while Unarmed Exhibition, commanded by Amelia Bayse, finished third. Ross was also named outstanding Color Guard Commander.
This achievement in the MCJROTC seven-state region qualifies the team for the national competition, which will be held April 14th in Daytona, Florida.
