BURTON PANTHERS SURVIVE LATE RALLY TO BEAT IOLA 10-8

The Burton Panther Baseball Team survived a late rally by Iola to get a 10-8 victory last (Monday) night.

The Panthers put up two runs in the first inning, four runs in the fourth inning, and four runs in the sixth inning to take a 10-0 lead.

Iola managed to get a run in the sixth to extend the game one more inning. The Bulldogs didn't go quietly as they scored seven runs in the seventh and final frame.

Burton had to go through three pitchers in the seventh inning in order to get the final out.

The Panthers improved to 10-4 on the season. They will now host Iola Friday night at 6:30pm.
