SUDDENLINK REBRANDING TO OPTIMUM
Internet provider Suddenlink is changing its name.
Suddenlink’s parent company, Altice USA, announced this week that Suddenlink will become Optimum by the end of the year.
Altice has operated as Suddenlink in states like Texas, but in the eastern United States, the company is known as Optimum.
In a message on the Suddenlink website and in letters to customers, the company says the switch includes an investment in Optimum Fiber, a fiber internet network capable of speeds up to 10 gigabytes. It says the network buildout is a multi-year initiative, but it expects to start offering fiber services in initial neighborhoods late this year.
Current customers are encouraged to update their email address on their account and opt-in for text alerts for future information about the transition.
