BURTON CITY COUNCIL MAKES QUICK WORK OF AGENDA

  

The Burton City Council made quick work of their agenda Tuesday evening after removing 2 items.  The two action and discussion items they voted to remove include conveyance of undeveloped property located east of Branch Street and the road formally known as south Colorado Street to American Kinetics Inc.  The item was removed until the city gets further along in the process.  The other item removed was consideration to appoint a committee member from Burton to the Washington County Appraisal District Budget Committee.  Dyann White, the County’s Chief Appraiser said the appointment is no longer needed as the budget is put together differently now.

The three items that were approved by the council include:

• The Burton General and Water and Sewer Budgets for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.
• The Permit for Geo Southern to Conduct Micro Seismic Surface Monitoring along Indian Creek South of FM 390 to the West of the Burton Street Bridge.
• Changing the Price per Square Foot for Seeking the Acquisition of Road and Alley Abandoned Right of Way Policy.  The amount was changed to $1.00 per Square Foot.
