BRENHAM MCJROTC COMPETING THURSDAY IN NATIONALS

The Brenham High School Marine Corps Junior ROTC is shooting for another first-place finish today (Thursday) at a national competition in Daytona, Florida.

The MCJROTC earned this trip to the National High School Drill Team Championships after winning every competition it has participated in so far this year, including the Region 5 Drill Championship last month at Allen High School.

This is the Brenham MCJROTC’s sixth consecutive invitation to nationals.  The Brenham cadets placed first at nationals last year.

Eleven other schools are competing alongside Brenham at the event, including two other schools from Texas: Caprock High School in Amarillo and Montgomery High School.  Other schools participating are Selma High School in California, Clearwater High School in Florida, North Forsyth High School in Georgia, Ben Davis High School in Indiana, Lynn English High School in Massachusetts, Pacific High School in Missouri, Rio Rancho High School in New Mexico, South Iredell High School in North Carolina and Mountain View High School in Virginia.
