WUNDERLICH, PIWONKA WIN AWARDS AT TVMA BANQUET
Two members of the staff at the Washington Animal Clinic were honored at the recent Texas Veterinary Medical Association Banquet.
Dr. Peter Wunderlich was named as the Food Animal Practitioner of the Year.
Wunderlich is a mixed practice veterinarian with a professional focus on food animal medicine, surgery, and consultation.
Wunderlich is a graduate of Brenham High School and Texas A&M University. He also co-owns the Washington Animal Clinic at 2100 Highway 36 North in Brenham along with his father, Dr. Terry Wunderlich.
Wunderlich is also involved in the Southwest Veterinary Symposium, which provides continuing education to other veterinarians.
Jennifer Piwonka was named as the Licensed Veterinary Technician of the Year.
Piwonka’s duties at the Clinic include taking care of the animals, as well as, equipment maintenance and preparing lab samples.
She also manages the Dreamcatcher Program. The program allows students from Brenham High School and the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, who are thinking about a career in veterinary medicine to get a behind the scenes look.
Piwonka has been with the Clinic since graduating from the Blinn College Veterinary Tech program in 2014.
