SECOND-DAY EARLY VOTING TOTALS SURPASS DAY ONE
After Monday’s heavy rain, the comparatively calm weather on Tuesday made a big difference in voting turnout for the constitutional amendment election and Brenham ISD bond election.
Elections Administrator Carol Jackson said a total of 409 voters came to the Washington County Courthouse Annex on Tuesday, including 390 who voted in the school bond election.
Monday drew 235 voters for the constitutional amendment election and 226 voters in the bond election.
Early voting through Tuesday totals 644 participants in the constitutional amendment election, which is countywide, and 615 voters in the bond election, open to residents within Brenham ISD.
The Courthouse Annex remains open for early voting today (Wednesday) through Friday and then on Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
Election Day is May 7th.
