GIDDINGS BUFFALOES LOOKING FOR A NEW HEAD COACH
The Giddings Buffaloes are going to be looking for a new head football coach and athletic director.
According to multiple reports, Wade Griffin has been hired as the new head football coach at Weimar High School.
Griffin has been the Head Coach for Giddings for the last four seasons compiling a 28-20 overall record.
Griffin has prior head coaching experience at Forth Worth Brewer, Brookshire Royal, and Elgin. His career record is 158-88.
He has also been a defensive coordinator at Georgetown and Round Rock Westwood.
Griffin's best season came in 2013 when he guided Elgin to a 12-1 record and won Coach of the Year honors.
He will take the place of former Weimar coach Ryan McIver, who resigned last month saying it was "a family decision."
