The Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce presented its annual contribution today (Tuesday) to Washington County EMS in support of the department.

During Washington County Commissioners Court, the Chamber gave EMS a check for $3,500.

Chamber President Joel Romo said as more people come to Chappell Hill and Washington County, the need for EMS services becomes greater.

In 2016, EMS opened a substation at the old fire station in downtown Chappell Hill to better serve the immediate area.  Romo said the Chamber appreciates the working collaboration with the county to provide EMS services to residents and visitors to Chappell Hill.
