RAILROAD CLOSINGS STARTING ON MONDAY
The City of Brenham has been notified by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad about some temporary railroad closings starting on Monday.
The railroad will be putting up traffic control and detours as they make repairs to railroad crossings in Brenham.
Starting this Monday at 7am, the railroad crossing at 1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, and College Avenue will all be closed.
Tuesday morning at 7am, they will add the railroad crossing on Jackson Street to that list. The railroad company is planning for all of them to be re-opened by Tuesday afternoon.
Then, from Thursday at 7am to Friday at 7am, the railroad crossings at All Jersey Road, and Pleasant Hill Road will be closed.

The city needs to make the Railroad start closure after school is in session and open xings before school is out to avoid traffic jams.
