BURTON PANTHERS BEAT WEST HARDIN 9-2; SWEEP SERIES 2-0

The Panthers got on the board with a run in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead.  West Hardin came back to take a 2-1 lead with a pair of runs in the third inning.

Burton's offense then exploded with five runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning to win the game 9-2, and take the series 2-1.

The Panthers now move on to the Area Round of the playoffs to take on Thorndale.  Game One is Thursday night at 7pm, with Game Two on Friday at 7pm, and, if necessary, Game Three is Saturday at 2pm.  The entire series is being played at Mumford High School.
