BURTON PANTHER BASEBALL TEAM HONORING THE LATE ED POTHUL

Prior to the start of Game Two of their Area Round Playoff Series against Thorndale, the Burton Panther Baseball Team is honoring a legend.
The Panthers donned the trademark Hawaiian Shirts in honor of former KWHI Sports Director Ed Pothul aka "The Sports Doc." Pothul passed away in October 2021.
Head Coach Matt Thaler said that the team wanted to pay tribute to Pothul, who called the play-by-play for many of their games not only in high school, but going back to their Little League days as well.
Pothul was known for his collection of Hawaiian shirts, and also starting "Hawaiian Shirt Friday" on the KWHI Morning Show.
The Burton Panthers will take on the Thorndale Bulldogs at 7pm in Mumford. Burton must win the game in order to force a third and deciding game on Saturday at 2pm, also in Mumford. The pregame show begins at 6:30pm on KWHI 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com. Craig Montana and Darrell Kieke will call the action.
