STOLEN CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT RECOVERED IN AUSTIN CO.; FOUR ARRESTED

Four people face charges in Austin County after authorities recovered numerous items reported stolen from several counties.

On Tuesday, the Austin County Sheriff’s Office received a call for service regarding the possible location of stolen property in the 3400 block of Oil Field Road, northeast of Bellville.  The owner of the stolen construction equipment reached out to Fort Bend County investigators, who later contacted the Austin County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival at the location, Austin County deputies immediately found the stolen equipment, which included a mini excavator, John Deere tractor, cargo trailer, Kubota RTV, Kubota skid-steer, utility trailers, various generators and other construction equipment.  The items were reported stolen in Houston and in Liberty, Waller and Fort Bend counties.

Four suspects, identified as 37-year-old Kadel Campionis of Katy, 37-year-old Felix Clavelo of North Fort Meyers, Florida, 47-year-old Ernesto Valdivia of Bellville and 25-year-old Alien Valle of Richmond, were arrested at the scene for possession of stolen property.

The case remains under investigation.
