ROUND TOP MUSIC FESTIVAL UNDERWAY
The 51st Round Top Music Festival has begun.
Musical artists from around the world are meeting at the Round Top Festival Institute for six weeks of orchestra rehearsals and performances, coaching, master classes and private lessons.
Master classes began this week and lead up to the opening chamber music program and orchestral concert on Saturday in the Festival Concert Hall. The program begins at 3:30 p.m., and the concert with the Texas Festival Orchestra opens at 7:30 p.m.
The orchestra will present eight programs, including six on Saturdays, one on Sunday, July 3rd, and a free concert specifically designed for children on Tuesday, June 21st.
The orchestra rehearses every weekday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall. Rehearsals are free and open to the public.
