FIVE SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT
Five people pleaded guilty and were sentenced Thursday in 21st District Court by Judge Reva Towslee Corbett.
21-year-old Reginald Stewart of Bryan was sentenced to 14 years in prison on each of three counts of Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
36-year-old Alexis Nichole Oluwo of Houston was sentenced to 287 days in state jail on both of two counts of Credit/Debit Card Abuse. She also received four years’ deferred adjudication probation for Bail Jumping/Failure to Appear. Per her sentences, she must pay $353.40 in restitution from the credit card abuse case and have no contact with the victim, and perform 75 hours of community service.
44-year-old Agustin Silva of Brenham was sentenced to seven years’ deferred adjudication probation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, complete 150 hours of community service, spend 60 days in the Washington County Jail as a condition of probation, and finish a batterers intervention program.
43-year-old Christopher Thomas Plagens of Brenham was sentenced to two years’ deferred adjudication probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. He must also pay a $500 fine, perform 200 hours of community service and complete a drug offender education program.
34-year-old Aaron Thomas Jelks of Houston was sentenced to 365 days in the Washington County Jail on both of two counts of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
