UNITY THEATRE ANNOUNCES 2022-23 SHOW LINEUP

Unity Theatre in Brenham has revealed its schedule of shows for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

There will be four Main Stage shows and two Studio Series shows during the next season, featuring comedy, drama, intrigue and excitement.

The season begins on the Main Stage with the comedy, Crimes of the Heart by Beth Henley, playing September 22 – October 19.

The first Studio Series show will follow October 20 - 30 with Every Brilliant Thing, a dramatic comedy by Duncan Macmillan with Johnny Donahoe.

Next will be a celebration of the holidays with Coney Island Christmas, a comedy by Donald Marguiles based on the story “The Loudest Voice” by Grace Paley.  It will play December 1 – 18 on the Main Stage.

Opening up 2023 will be an Agatha Christie favorite, The Mousetrap.  The popular whodunit will come to the Main Stage February 9 – 26, 2023.

The second and final Studio Series production will be Yankee Tavern, a drama by Steven Dietz, taking the stage March 23 – April 2, 2023.

The Main Stage series will conclude with the dynamic musical, Godspeed by Stephen Schwartz and John Michael-Tebela, playing June 8 – 25, 2023.

Unity also presents a children’s summer musical each year, and this season it is the Prince Street Players’ Jack and the Beanstalk, being performed July 27 – 30, 2023.  The production is not part of any subscription package.

Unity Theatre says it hopes for this season to be the last that Studio Series productions are performed on the Main Stage rather than the more intimate Studio space.

Subscriptions can be purchased by calling the Unity Theatre Box Office at 979-830-8358.  To learn more, visit www.unitybrenham.org.
