AROUND $16,000 IN CIGARETTES STOLEN FROM SCHULENBURG CONVENIENCE STORE

The Schulenburg Police Department is asking for help in identifying two men suspected of stealing thousands of dollars in cigarettes from a convenience store that opened less than two weeks ago.
Police say just before 2:15 a.m. Friday, the men were seen on surveillance footage walking behind the clerk’s counter at The Texan, located at the southwest corner of Highway 77 and I-10.
According to police, the men left the store with several boxes filled with cartons of cigarettes, valued at approximately $16,000.
