BRENHAM FIREFIGHTERS EXTINGUISH SANDBLASTER FIRE AT DR METALS
No injuries are reported after an equipment fire Friday afternoon at a Brenham business.
Around 1:45 p.m., the Brenham Fire Department was called out to a fire at DR Metals at 1307 Highway 290 West. Dispatchers were advised that employees were evacuating the building and that the fire was in the warehouse area.
Heavy smoke was coming from the rear of the building when firefighters arrived. They made entry and found a large sandblaster on fire.
Firefighters contained the blaze to the sandblaster unit and used a fan to remove smoke.
There was no other damage to the building.
