The second of this summer’s “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concerts in downtown Brenham on Saturday was a blast back to the heyday of some of the most iconic rock ‘n roll bands of all time.

Ashmore, based out of Dallas, performed from the catalog of signature ‘60s thru ‘80s groups like AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Rolling Stones.

Crowds were also treated to food and drinks from local businesses and vendors, as well as a close-up look at classic cars and hot rods during the Stray Katz Car Club’s cruise-in along Alamo Street.

Saturday’s concert was sponsored by Associated Credit Union of Texas, Tippit Dental Group, BRIANNAS Fine Salad Dressings, and The Upchurch & Yates Law Firm.

A local favorite returns to Brenham on Saturday, July 23rd with the Brown Sugar Band, playing a blend of Motown, R&B, old school rock ‘n roll and the hits of today.  That performance will be sponsored by Citizens State Bank, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative, Woodson Lumber Company, Legacy Concrete Works and Legacy Waste Services.
