TWO WOUNDED IN SHOOTING IN NAVASOTA
Navasota police are investigating after two people were shot early Tuesday morning.
Interim Police Chief Mike Mize says around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Ella Street for a report of gunshots in the area. When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan and is in stable condition.
A second gunshot victim, a 19-year-old male, arrived at the hospital and was treated and released after a few hours.
Police say both of the injuries were non-life-threatening.
