BRENHAM CUB BAND TO MARCH ACROSS TOWN FRIDAY
The Brenham Cub Band’s annual tradition of marching across Brenham returns on Friday.
The public can cheer the band on during its March-a-thon, as it plays marching tunes around the city in preparation for the new school year.
The march begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Brenham High School band hall, stopping in the First Baptist Church parking lot before continuing along the traditional parade route through downtown.
The band will then perform a mini concert at Bank of Brenham, followed by two more concerts at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Brenham ISD central office.
After that, band members will play songs at Christ Lutheran Day School and the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center. They will conclude the march with a mini concert in the Blue Bell Creameries parking lot.
The March-a-thon also serves as a fundraiser for the band program. To donate, contact Band Director Eric Rettig at erettig@brenhamk-12.net.
