BURTON LADY PANTHERS SPLIT MATCHES ON TUESDAY AND AREA SCOREBOARD
The Burton Lady Panther Volleyball Team split their matches on Tuesday in Iola. Burton lost to Iola 25-13, 25-12, and 25-17.
However, they came back and beat Bremond 3-1. Burton won two thrillers in the first two sets 26-24 and 29-27. Bremond won the first third set 25-18. However, the Lady Panthers came back and won the fourth set 25-19.
Burton now gets ready for the Schulenburg tournament, which starts tomorrow (Thursday) and runs thru Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Round-Top Carmine Cubettes picked up a win last (Tuesday) night over North Zulch 3-0. RT-C won 25-14, 25-14, and 25-19. Mallory Krause had seven kills and 25 assists, Kim Rohde had 10 digs and 5 assists, Maggie Salinas added 13 digs, and Jill Eilers added 6 kills, 7 digs, and 7 aces. Next up, the Cubettes will be at the Schulenburg Tournament Thursday-Saturday.

College Station lost to the Woodlands 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, and 25-12).
Madisonville defeated Snook 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, and 25-16).
St. Joseph's Catholic School knocked off Richards 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, and 25-21).
Columbus beat Weimar 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, and 25-10).
La Grange got past Bastrop 3-1 (25-21, 24-26, 25-15, and 25-20).
Waller downed Navasota 3-2 (25-17, 22-25, 21-25, 25-15, and 15-6.)
