BRENHAM CUBETTES GO 2-1 ON DAY ONE OF THE NEW BRAUNFELS TOURNAMENT

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team went 2-1 on Thursday at the "Fraulein Fest" Volleyball Tournament in New Braunfels.

The Cubettes beat Fort Bend Austin 26-24 and 25-22. Charli Crowson had 8 kills and 13 assists, Kristen Kuehn added 9 digs, and Avery Frazier dished out 8 assists.

Brenham then defeated Buda Johnson 25-19 and 25-20. Crowson had 6 kills, 4 aces, and 9 assists. Meanwhile, Frazier added 10 digs and 9 assists, and Kuehn finished with 9 digs.

However, the Cubettes suffered their second defeat of the season 2-1 to New Braunfels 22-25, 25-12, and 14-25. Tiyana Jones had 6 kills, Crowson had 4 aces and 10 assists, Lillie Thibodeaux had six blocks, Kuehn added 11 digs, and Frazier dished out 9 assists.

Brenham is now 12-2 on the season.  They will continue at the "Fraulein Fest" today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).
