10 BUNDLES OF COCAINE SEIZED IN FAYETTE COUNTY DRUG BUST

A San Antonio man was arrested on Tuesday after being caught with 10 bundles of cocaine.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, Drug Interdiction Officer David Smith stopped a 2006 Ford passenger car for a traffic violation.

The stop occurred around noon on I-10 at Mile Marker 663 near Flatonia.

Smith made contact with the driver, 27-year-old Ivan Euresti, and said he detected several criminal indicators that are associated with Drug Trafficking.

After obtaining consent to search the vehicle, Smith located 10 bundles that field tested positive for cocaine. They were hidden throughout the vehicle including the dash, rocker panel compartments, and in a rear seat pillar.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Herman Olvera assisted Smith with the traffic stop.

Euresti was taken into custody for Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and was transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
