NEW FAYETTE CO. FAIR QUEEN CROWNED

  

The Fayette County Fair kicked off a weekend of activities Thursday night at the fair pageant.

Crowned as the 2022 Fayette County Fair Queen was Teagan Branch representing the Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse, with $41,685 in season ticket sales.

First Runner Up was Dulce Merlos representing the Optimist Club of La Grange, with sales of $23,170.  Merlos was also named Miss Congeniality.

Addisan Wagner, representing the Flatonia Lions Club, was Second Runner Up with sales of $13,895 and was also named Miss Beauty and Poise and Most Photogenic.

Third Runner Up was Izela Cerda representing the Jose “Paco” Orona Scholarship, with $13,620 in sales.  Cerda also led the queen candidates in carnival ticket sales with $10,180 in carnival passes.

In the Little Mister and Miss Pageant, Stockton Emshoff and Kynsley Schneider were named Little Mister and Miss Fayette County.  First Runners Up were Caston Beseda and Hunter Denham, while Second Runners Up were Landon Kasierski and Gabrilla Rios, Third Runners Up were Griffin Anderson and Rylee Hentschel, and Quinn Vasek was Fourth Runner Up.  Most Photogenic were Stockton Emshoff and Rylee Hentschel, and the winners of Best Personality were Kynsley Schneider and Quinn Vasek.

In the Junior Miss Pageant, Hailey Janish was named Junior Miss Fayette County.  First Runner Up was Brinley Freedman, who was also the Photogenic winner.  Second Runner Up was Nicole Vahalik, who also received the title of Best Friend.  Third Runner Up was Delilah Mangis.

This year’s season ticket sales were $105,390.  Total sales from all season tickets and carnival tickets between queen and junior miss contestants was $166,880, the most sales since 2015 when ZZ Top was the fair headliner.

KTEX-106’s Rip Rolling will be broadcasting live from the fair parade tomorrow (Saturday) morning, while Crystal Raye will broadcast live from the fairgrounds Sunday evening.
