GRIMES COUNTY CHILD FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE

Help is being sought for a Grimes County family, who has a small child in a pediatric unit in Houston.
Two year old Sophie Collins is the daughter of Patrick and Lauren Collins. Patrick is a College Station Police Officer.
Sophie is suffering from what was initially an E.coli infection. However, it then developed into Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome in her kidneys.
According to a report by KBTX-TV, the illness has now moved into her brain, causing seizures, and she is being monitored by an EEG Machine.
Sophie has been hospitalized since July 4. A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family.
One of Patrick’s fellow officers also set up a website, www.SoSoStrong.com, which is also helping to raise money for the family to help pay for medical expenses.
So far $20,000 has been raised, but there is still more help needed.
