BRENHAM AND BURTON FOOTBALL BACK UNDER THE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

The Brenham Cubs face off against the Bryan Vikings later this (Friday) evening.

Both teams are 1-1 going into the game.  The Cubs lost to Oakridge in the first game, 23-13.  However, they came back and dominated Belton last week 42-7.

Bryan defeated Waller in the first game 67-21, but then lost to Huntsville 21-14.

Coach Danny Youngs talked about what to expect from the Vikings.

It is also going to be Senior Night.  Brenham will be recognizing the 26 seniors on the team. The kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm at Cub Stadium.  Join Tommy Lange and I for all the action beginning with the pregame at 7pm right here on KWHI 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.

Meanwhile, the Burton Panthers are on the road at the Schulenburg Shorthorns tonight (Friday).

Burton is 2-0 on the season after beating Holland 21-18 in the first week, and then getting past Hearne 6-0 in overtime last Friday.

Schulenburg is still looking for their first win after falling to Randolph 42-20, and to Rogers 55-14.

Coach Jason Hodde gave a scouting report on the Shorthorns.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm.

Both Brenham and Burton are off next week for the Washington County Fair.
