SCARECROWS FILL DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
Colorful scarecrows have popped up all over downtown Brenham for Main Street Brenham’s 19th Annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.
The public can now make their way out to downtown and vote for any of the 31 entries in this year's contest.
A total of $1,400 in cash prizes will be given away, including the Best Overall prize of $300 sponsored by KTEX/KWHI. The other prize categories are:
- Most Votes for $200, sponsored by Hermann Furniture.
- Judges Choice for $200, sponsored by Must Be Heaven.
- Best Fall Theme for $125, sponsored by Revival Mercantile.
- Best School Spirit for $125, sponsored by The Book Nook.
- Silliest for $125, sponsored by The Pomegranate.
- The Cutest for $125, sponsored by The Canyon Chick.
- Two Honorable Mentions for $100 each, sponsored by Branded Boutique and Anatomy Clothing Co.
Ballots are available at sponsoring merchant locations and at the Visitor Center at 115 West Main Street. Completed ballots must be turned in at the Visitor Center.
Voting for the scarecrows ends on October 23rd. The winners will be announced on October 26th.
