BLINN TO CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY TEAM DURING HOMECOMING GAME

Homecoming will be taking on a new meaning this year, as the #13 Ranked Blinn Buccaneer Football Team recognizes some legendary figures from its past.

Blinn College announced this (Tuesday) morning that they will be recognizing the 50th Anniversary of the 1972 Buccaneer Football Team during the Homecoming Game this Saturday.

The 1972 Team was the first Blinn Buccaneer Football Team to go undefeated for the season.

They finished with an overall record of 12-0, which was good for #3 in the nation, and they also won the Wool Bowl Championship.

Blinn would not see another unbeaten team until winning the first of back-to-back National Championships in 1995.

Meanwhile, the current Blinn Buccaneer Football Team faces Navarro on Saturday at 7pm at Cub Stadium. The Bucs are looking to bounce back after a heartbreaking loss 24-21 to #1 Ranked New Mexico Military Institute.
