The bank announced in a press release that it has acquired Lone Star Trust & Investment Services in College Station.  The bank will now offer full wealth management services.

Lone Star Trust opened in January 2009 and has expanded its footprint in Texas over the last 13 years by serving local markets as a community based trust department.

Lone Star Trust President Sandra Boecker said, “Our founding principle at Lone Star Trust is to serve the communities in which we live by building relationships that are local, personal, and flexible for our clients while maintaining focus on our duties as a fiduciary. We are excited to be a part of the Bank of Brenham and look forward to working in Brenham and the surrounding communities.”

Bank of Brenham President Jim Kruse said, “Our team at Lone Star Trust and Investment Services have a long history of exceeding expectations and providing superior service at a reasonable value. I’m happy that they are part of Bank of Brenham and here to serve our community. Please give them a call and inquire about their vast array of trust and wealth management services.”

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. at the Bank of Brenham Annex, located at 401 South Austin Street.

Lone Star Trust also has offices in College Station, Cameron and Seguin.

  1. I was recently in need of some change for an event that i had volunteered to help with here in Brenham. Walked into Bank of Brenham with a crisp $100 bill and asked the teller if she could break it for me. The young lady asked for my account #. I replied with “all i need is change.” No Sir, she replied, not if you don’t have a account here. What the hell are banks coming to? Sad when a bank WONT make change for a $100. SO SAD!
