BURTON SCHOOL BOARD AWARDS BIDS FOR BOND PROJECT

Thursday evening, the Burton School Board awarded enough bids to get started with their Bond Project, but not all.  Construction manager DSA said some of the items did not receive bids while others only received one bid.  Coach Jason Hodde talked about the track and new football field.  He recommended the more expensive option, saying it would cost more to begin with, but be less expensive in the long run.  The trustee seemed to agree, because they voted to table the track and football field and the HVAC system saying they did not have enough info about either.  With enough bids to begin, DSA said they expect construction to begin in 7 to 10 days.

The next scheduled Burton School Board meeting is December 12 were the answers about the track and football field and the HVAC system will be answered.  The other bids are expected to be awarded at a special meeting December 15th.
