BRENHAM ARTIST’S ALBUM PEAKS AT #26 ON iTUNES HIP-HOP CHARTS

  

The new album of an independent alternative hip hop artist from Brenham is getting the attention of listeners.

Beautiful Mistake, released on November 18^th by Jason Diodato, who performs as Yung Delirious, debuted at #26 on the iTunes hip hop charts.  OffBeat Magazine calls the album “melancholic but motivational”, saying it “describes the blight of chasing dreams and the toll it takes on the self and relationships.”

Diodato says he is proud to be able to accomplish this for himself and for other artists whose origins trace back to small markets.

Born and raised in Brenham, Diodato graduated from Burton High School in 2017.  He relocated to Houston to pursue music full-time before joining the United States Army in November 2018.  He says he built character, resilience and other qualities while in the Army, but over time he felt it was not the right fit for what he truly wanted to do.  He left the military in June and is now studying the music industry at Loyola University in New Orleans.

Diodato says much of his motivation for Beautiful Mistake came from where he stood in life at the time.  He wrote all of the songs on the album while he was still in the military, with titles such as “Been There” and “Came a Long Way” talking about his path and acknowledging both how far he has come and how far he still has to go.

For Diodato, music speaks to him and provides a sense of belonging.  By creating music, he wants to give people hope to dream big and chase their passion.
