BRENHAM, WASHINGTON CO. OFFICES BEGIN CHRISTMAS CLOSURES FRIDAY

  

City of Brenham and Washington County offices are closed starting today (Friday) for Christmas.

Offices for the city and county are all closed today and on Monday.  That includes Brenham City Hall, municipal court, pet adoption and animal services, and the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library. 

The Blue Bell Aquatic Center has all pools closed through Monday.  The Collection/Transfer and Recycling Station will have normal hours except for Christmas.

The Brenham & Washington County Visitor Center will keep a normal schedule today, be closed tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday, and reopen Monday with hours of 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Residential trash pick-up will still run, but BVR Waste & Recycling will only pick up what fits in the trash cart, not items that are stacked on or beside the cart.  Excess bags can be taken to the Collection Station for $2 per bag. 

There will not be any commercial trash pick-up on Christmas Day.  Commercial front-load routes will be made current today or on Monday.

The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will also be closed today and on Monday.  Bluebonnet members can check their accounts, make payments and report power outages by visiting www.bluebonnet.coop, calling 800-949-4414 or using Bluebonnet’s mobile app.
