NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY HOURS FOR CITY OF BRENHAM, WASHINGTON COUNTY

  

The City of Brenham and Washington County have announced their schedules for when offices will be closed to celebrate New Year’s Day.

County offices will be closed on Friday, while city offices will be closed on Monday.  City closures include Brenham City Hall, municipal court, pet adoption and animal services, the Blue Bell Aquatic Center and the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library.

The Collection/Transfer and Recycling Station will have regular hours except for New Year’s Day.  The Brenham & Washington County Visitor Center will be closed on Sunday and re-open Monday with normal hours.

Residential trash pick-up will run, but BVR Waste & Recycling will only pick up items that fit inside the trash carts, not items stacked on top of or beside the carts.  Commercial front-load routes will not run on Sunday, and will be made current on either the Friday before or the Monday after New Year’s Day.

The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will be closed on Monday.  Bluebonnet members can access their account information, make payments and report power outages while offices are closed by calling 800-949-4414, going to www.bluebonnet.coop or using the co-op’s mobile app.
