GRACE LUTHERAN EXPANDED TO INCLUDE HIGH SCHOOL
For over 75 years, Grace Lutheran School has been educating children in the Brenham and Washington County community.
Through the years, they have been offering a private Christian education at the Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Elementary, and Junior High levels.
Grace Lutheran School has now announced plans to expand their educational offering with the addition of a Classical Christian High School Program.
The new High School Program is designed around a Classical Christian Education course study with a curriculum that offers many upper level and advanced courses.
The courses include the traditional subjects of reading, writing, and arithmetic along with classic courses such as Latin, music, sports, philosophy, and more.
In a press release, the school said they are committed to developing a complete, well-rounded student with exceptional critical thinking skills and a firm belief in Jesus Christ.
They also strive for their students to achieve their highest learning potential and develop skills that will continue with them throughout their life.
For more information about Grace Lutheran School, there will be a Parent Information Session and Ice Cream Social on Sunday, February 26th at 4pm in the Church Parlor at 1212 West Jefferson Street in Brenham.
Parents with children from Pre-K to High School age are welcome to attend. RSVP is not required, but you can help with the head count by going to their website at www.GLSBrenham.com.
I must be careful about judging those who sin differently than I sin. We have all fallen short of the glory of God.
Both of my girls went to school at Grace through 8th grade. It was a great education and so much fun. I wish it would have gone through high school then. I can’t recommend Grace Lutheran School enough. Your kids will love it.
Yep…the government schools and the indoctrinations that have taken place over the last century…especially 1/2 century have taken the country down paths that we may never get off of….and we let it happen. Madelyn Mary O’Hair managed to remove God from schools and, how’s that working out? Then LBJ created the “Great” Society which sounded good…but typical of any government program it has failed miserably. Instead of being tool to help people move forward it became a tool to keep them suppressed. Then along came the breakdown of the family. Huge percentage of youth have no idea of what the family structure means…they are born into multi generational, single mom, government dependent, victimization cultures. Now if you commit a crime, the police who try to intercede become the criminal and your the victim. So rampant crime goes unchecked. Now we have mentally challenged people wanting to be female when they are born male and the opposite are being celebrated as something special and further poisoning our society. The list goes on. But nothing will change unless society steps up…and with all the power in government it’s a big challenge. God help us please.
Thank you Lord, it’s a out time that these religious orders are protecting our children from outside influences. First St Mary’s. and now Grace Lutheran. So happy that these churches see an immediate need.
A sin is a sin no one greater than the other and yet to judge another man or woman is a sin in the eyes of the Lord yet people want to proclaim to be of Faith when they too are commiting a sin by judging others, Judgement day we all stand before God and he alone can pass Judgement. I for one will not condem myself to the same fate as a sinner, I believe everyone has the given right to live as they see fit.
Paula, first I’m disappointed that your comment seems to have a negative feel about it and almost seems to be judging someone or something – perhaps Margo’s positives comments above – not really sure?? You state, “I for one will not condem myself to the same fate as a sinner…”. We are all sinners and we all have the same fate waiting for us. The only thing that can change that fate is to believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and REPENT of our sins. It takes true repentance – meaning one must confess their sin(s) to God and turn from them.
I think having private Christian alternatives to public school is great. Parents must take control of their children’s education. Competition for the public school system can only make it better.
