BRENHAM CUBS UPSET COLLEGE STATION 62-45
The Brenham Cub Basketball Team pulled off a 62-45 upset win over the College Station Cougars last (Tuesday) night at the Brenham High School Gym.
Brenham dominated the first quarter by jumping out to an early 15-4 lead. College Station closed the gap by winning the second quarter 18-14 to cut the lead to 29-22 at halftime.
The Cubs pulled away for good with a big third quarter that they won 17-7 to up their lead to 46-29. The teams broke even in the fourth quarter with each scoring 16 a piece.
Diego Estrada and Josiah Ferguson led Brenham with 16 points each. Isaac Powell added 13 points. Shaun Ray had 10 points.
Next up, the Cubs will be at Magnolia on Friday at 6:30pm.
