FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS SET FOR RANDY REETS

Funeral arrangements have been announced for longtime Brenham radio announcer Emil Kocurek Jr., known on-air as Randy Reets.
Reets died on Tuesday at the age of 88.
Visitation will be tomorrow (Friday) from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. The family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m., and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial following at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Reets was a broadcaster for over 60 years, many of which were at KWHI as a disc jockey, news director, sports director, operations manager, salesman, and sales manager. He also served for many years as a play-by-play voice for local sports teams including the Brenham Cubs, Burton Panthers, Blinn Buccaneers and Washington County Little League.
