PERSON ARRESTED ON SHOPLIFTING CHARGES

One person was arrested Sunday morning on shoplifting charges.
Brenham police report that Sunday morning at 8:40, Officers Myles Masters and Conner Caskey were dispatched to shoplifting at a business in the 200 block of Highway 290 West. The business reported a male subject pushed a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise and entered a vehicle. The vehicle matching the description was stopped and the stolen merchandise was located inside the vehicle. The suspect was positively identified as Jacob Clayton King, 37 of Simonton, and was placed under arrest for Theft.
