CUBETTES BEAT VISTA RIDGE 2-0 FOR 2ND WIN OF THE DAY

The Brenham Cubette Softball Team defeated Vista Ridge 2-0 this (Thursday) afternoon to take their second win of the day at the Dripping Springs Tournament.

Della Jasinski (7-0) went the distance, no runs, three hits, four walks, and six strikeouts.

The Cubettes got on the board in the top of the first inning. Halle Scheel reached base on a walk. She then proceeded to steal second base, third base, and home plate to make it 1-0 Brenham.

In the top of the third inning, Scheel reached base on an error. She then stole second, and came around to score on an RBI single Kaylyn Rodriguez. That put the Cubettes up 2-0, and that would be all they needed.

Brenham improves to 9-1 on the season. The tournament continues tomorrow (Friday) at Dripping Springs High School. The Cubettes will face Leander at 9am, and then Dripping Springs at 1pm. Dripping Springs is coach by former Brenham Cubette Head Coach Wade Womack.
